TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT
Albert Einstein once said," it has become appallingly obvious that technology has exceeded our humanity." Although many may find these words true, these new developments offer many benefits to people. Technology is now a vital part of our society and of our forseeable futures. People who now wish to live without technology are unlucky because it is currently advancing at an undesirable rate. Hence , its definition that it is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes. Humans are now applying this scientific knowledge in many forms for us to use. Technology is an essential part of our lives because people are able to save time, lives and machines are now aiding humans in the workplace.
Technology and its inventions are helping us save time in our everyday lives. These advancements have greatly increased living standards of many making it more comfortable and convenient. With the constant invention of appliances people are able to complete tasks faster and are able to do other tasks in the meantime. Nowadays you don't need to hand wash clothes because there are many different types and brands of washing machines being created. Also, dishes don't need to be washed manually . Dishwashers are now being used. Many other inventions are continuing to develop, each helping us in one way or another.
Technology also plays a critical role in the saving of lives using the study of medicine. The growth of medical technology continuously increased since the 20th century with inventions such as radiation therapy, penicillin, MRI scanning, X-Ray and many other technological forms of treatment. Radiation therapy is used to shrink tumors and kill cancer cells using high-energy radiation. Chemotherapy can also be used to reduce or destroy cancer cells. Medical technology can be used to prevent many other diseases and contribute to the diagnosis for many sicknesses. Technology is continuing to benefit us in many other forms.
Technology is now helping workers tremendously in the workplace. The creation of machines have been helping with a majority of jobs, in that it is improving the working environment in which workers use on a daily basis. Some machines now have the ability to think as humans reducing the amount of technical work that humans have to do. Also, a lot of manual work is now done my machines making it easier for workers to complete tasks. Computerized computers are able to do calculations and recordings easier than the human brain can do in the amount of time it completes a full calculation. Hence the reason why compared to the common 60 hours worked in a week in the 20th century, the hours worked by the average person is now 40 hours. Many companies are now using computer aided machines in the business because it is more cost-effective an d helpful to the workers.
Despite the fact that we can't deny that technology affects us, its positive impact has continued to help better our lives. Many great benefits has come from the useful inventions of resources we use on a daily basis. Technological advancements are continuing to be invented, each to assist our daily lives one way or another. I think that technology should continue advancing because it affects us positively.
